Ooni Table

Santa brought us an Ooni Pizza Oven. So, what do you do if Santa also brough you a brand-new planer? You build an Ooni table out of nothing but 2×2s from the big box store.

I looked at it as a challenge. Well, I caved and used 2×4s for the aprons since I was getting sick and tired of planing and gluing up 2×2s. Full mortise-and-tenon joinery for the aprons and legs.

Platform

Phase one had to be ready for the Superbowl so I had to add a platform to hold the propane tank later. I intended to use real joinery for that as well but couldn’t figure out how to retrofit it.

The panel was glued up in three sections, planed, and then finally joined into a single panel. I also added a drop-down drawer underneath the tabletop to store pans, the pizza cutter, timer, etc.
